Have you been thinking of taking your dog off leash places, but it usually ends up with you chasing them up and down a hillside or across traffic?
Join our Hike with Your Dog class! One private session close to home and four semi-private classes in a private, fully enclosed acre hillside with others will allow you to practice your dog’s recall, prepare yourself for hiking in general, and feel confident for taking your dog out!
Open to people new to training their dog and seasoned pet owners and parents.

- 45 minute Classes 6pm Tuesday evenings starting October 7th
- 1 hour Private session to be completed before Sunday, October 5th (will schedule with Steph)
You get:
- one private session, one hour
- 3 scheduled class sessions, 45 minutes each
- gear list for both on-leash and off-leash hiking
- muzzle desensitizing introduction
- recall practice in exciting environments
- meeting others who want to safely take their dog hiking
- training in an enclosed, secure outdoorsy location
Location:
- shared classes will be in a private yard in Los Altos Hills
- private session will be outdoors somewhere between Stanford and Lawrence Expressway
Cost: $405
Special considerations:
- Limited to three participants
- Group class will be in a rented, personal yard. Address will be given after commitment to class
- No remote collars needed
- training methodology: R+, reward-based, force-free, no application of punishment
- If dog demonstrates more skill practice is needed during private session, can convert financial commitment to private sessions to get the dog up to the level needed for hiking practice
- Terrain considerations: location has uneven ground and a couple steep surfaces. People with balance issues or physical limitations interested in hiking with their dog should sign up for private sessions only so we can accommodate their safety
- No refunds after private session is scheduled
